Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 international goals for a sustainable world that was adopted at the 2015 United Nations Summit for implementation between 2016 and 2030. These SDGs include themes such as “Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure” and “Sustainable Cities and Communities.”

Traffic accident reduction
Respond to declining birthrates and aging population
Traffic safety seminars are held for elderly residents and children in the community. At these seminars, we distribute reflective stickers to put on their shoes.
With the objective of contributing to traffic safety in the local area, we clean roadside mirrors around the neighborhood.
Traffic safety workshop sessions are held in the company to raise awareness of associates’ traffic safety.

We actively participate in the Lake Hamana Cleaning Campaign.
We participate in the creation of spawning environments for loggerhead turtles, which is an endangered species, on Kojima Beach on the Atsumi Peninsula, making sediment fences and other activities.
To contribute to the prevention of global warming, we are holding a green curtain contest at each home to help save energy.

We accept students from local junior high schools, high schools, universities, and special-needs schools as interns.
We promote the health of our employees with the objective of “building a workplace culture that emphasizes health, and promotes voluntary healthcare programs.”
Lecturers are invited to provide sessions on different subjects to different target groups. Session themes include work–life balance and the advancement of women.

The Family Festa is held every year within the company premises to express our appreciation for, and to encourage exchanges between, our associates and local residents.
We participate in and cooperate with Kosai City in its study group for the Kosai City Corporate Shuttle BaaS Project, Japan’s first attempt to use corporate shuttle buses as means of transportation for local residents.
We support the tournament by offering the use of the natural grass soccer ground within the premises of our Kibi Plant.
We hold sports clinics to provide local junior high school students with the opportunity to learn basketball and volleyball skills from top-league basketball and baseball players belonging to DENSO.
Through NPOs, we provide used clothes for refugees, evacuees, disaster victims, and other individuals suffering a shortage of clothes all over the world.
As a blood donation supporter, HAMANAKODENSO encourages associates to participate in blood donation drives held four times a year.
